Recipe: Oatmeal, orange and banana cookies

Today we bring you a recipe suitable for the most "healthy eaters". In addition, it is a perfect recipe for those lactose intolerant and vegan, as we will not use milk or any animal products.

This recipe is very simple, we only need 3 ingredients and 20 minutes of oven.

If you are not yet in the kitchen prepared to bake these cookies, you have to know that they are the perfect cookies to start the day, since oatmeal is a cereal full of slow-absorbed carbohydrates. In this way, the energy is released gradually and we will feel much more energy throughout the day. And, to finish convincing you, if you have already tried a Valorange orange you will know firsthand the great flavor they contain…

  • 3 ripe bananas.
  • 150 g of oatmeal.
  • Orange zest (1 tablespoon)

The first thing we are going to do is preheat the oven to 200ºC and place a piece of baking paper in the tray that we are going to use to bake the cookies.

To start this recipe, we slice the bananas and crush them until we have mashed them. Then add the oatmeal and mix everything well. Finally, we grate a Valorange orange without reaching the white part of the skin (it is bitter) and mix again until we see all the ingredients integrated in the dough.

We only have to form balls from the dough and place them on the tray. Once placed, we crush the balls slightly to create the cookie shape. Try not to place them very close to each other or you will end up with a giant cookie.

Baking time is approximately 20 minutes (this time varies depending on each oven, but when the edges of the cookies begin to brown they will be ready to go).

We know that it is very difficult to resist the temptation to eat one as soon as you take them out of the oven, but we recommend you wait for them to cool before eating them.

The orange brings a great aroma in addition to a lot of freshness to these cookies.

Also, in order for the cookies to last perfect condition throughout the week it is convenient to store them in a tightly sealed pouch in a place without much humidity.

We hope to see these cookies at your next breakfast, do not hesitate to send us a photo of your elaborations!
